This, the first submission already reflected international interest; nine countries were represented. A total of 33 artists, most with  successful careers in tapestry entered 53 works.

The committee unanimously agreed upon 10 works for the exhibition based on the quality of visual imagery submitted. The shortlist covered a range of ideas and approaches that reflects the best of contemporary gobelin tapestry. The winner was Anne Naustdaal for her tapestry Arid Landscape
